Even though the goal of this blog is to connect folks with genuine Gerstner tool chests, I realize that there are several reasons why a craftsman might want to build their own. One uncomfortable fact that must be addressed is that building a tool box the quality of a genuine Gerstner is time consuming and skill-intensive. And if you think you'll be saving yourself a ton by making one yourself, you obviously haven't priced-out the necessary hardware.

But that said, there's something to be said for the pride in accomplishment that you'll feel when you complete the task.
